Here’s a little real world experience treat for you.
It’s all well and good for me to keep talking theory about how you could live in the Philippines (or anywhere else) and earn your own living … but am I talking theory, “Pie in the Sky” type thoughts or are people actually walking the walk and not just talking the talk?
Now of course I’m living in the Philippines and earning money via business efforts I have set up online, but from me you will always get the truth.
I am not making all that much money.
Mostly because I’m an old man with multiple pensions and I don’t work at my businesses anything like full time. Maybe a couple hours every few days, if I am energetic … less if my wife says, “Hey let’s go somewhere”, which she just did, so I’ll be putting this article on hold for a bit.
(I’m back now) But what if I introduce you to people who DO live here and earn full time?
I have already in the past … you might want to review
But here’s someone new who really resonates with me:
Dan Andrews of TropicalMBA.com
Here’s how Dan introduces himself:
I help people build businesses and careers that generate income from anywhere in the world– from the beaches of Thailand to their own home offices … read more
Dan has lived in the Philippines (several locations), Thailand (several locations) and is currently hanging out in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Viet Nam. He knows his stuff. And he absolutely “Walks the Walk”.
One of the great free services Dan offers is a terrific regular podcast that covers in depth subjects such as what type of business you can start and run, best places to live in South East Asia, and one-on-one interviews with other people who are also “Walking the Walk” here in the Philippines and many other countries outside the USA.
I highly recommend you sign up for Dan’s broadcasts and also read his blog regularly. Highly recommended.
A few of the items covered, in depth by Dan and James:
- A framework for setting up as an affiliate marketing solopreneur and traveling the world.
- How traveling and starting a business can be the safer option compared to the 9-5 job.
- If James and Dan had to start over tomorrow, here’s how they would setup their affiliate empire.
- The step-by-step plan for getting to $2,000 a month on affiliate income.

Do you know how many people write me regularly and ask me about living for $1500 or so per month in the Philippines?
Well, of course, you CAN.
Then they ask me how they can earn that much without a J*O*B in the Philippines and without a pension.
James can not only TELL you how, he DOES it.
(oh and by the way, for you suspicious folks. Dan and James (and me) are not selling anything here. There’s no “eBook” to buy. This is just actionable information on how he “Got it done” from a fellow who started with essentially zero Internet and computer knowledge.)
It is NOT about “knowing computers”, it’s about finding a need and filling that need.
