She’s Back ;-) Update on spouse’s trip
As mentioned my mahal just made a trip from Denver to Manila and back via China Air. Service was quite satisfactory, flights were on time and price, through Ed Mabunga’s agency.
I did want to mention that there have been big changes at Chiang Kai-shek International Airport
You may recall I made some pretty derogatory comments based on our last trip through there, and some others have suggested the airport isn’t near as bad to transit through. Apparently there was a lot of construction going on there 2 years ago and I perhaps caught the place on a bad day.
Spouse reports the accommodations were quite satisfactory, there’s even a passenger train now to eliminate some of the long, long walks, and her transits through there, coming and going, were comfortable and satisfactory. This is good news, because China Air and EVA Air both are among the best-priced carriers and improvements at CKS improve their overall rankings in my book.
Two of the sisters went to the Philippines at the same time, using Cathay Pacific from JFK, via Hong Kong to Manila and reported the service was still very satisfactory.
So if you haven’t planned your trip for this year yet, when are you going to get busy and do so? It will only cost more, the longer you wait.
