Most of your points are great, but getting a beefy server and cheap PCs isn’t a good idea. For gaming, you really need local CPU and GPU power. Streaming from a LAN server just isn’t going to cut it. And for non-gaming, the cheapo PCs can handle browsing and VOIP without needing to offload to the server.
Now, it *would* be worth getting two classes of machines for gaming and non-gaming. I would be surprised if there aren’t shops already doing this.

Hi Jonathan,
You make a good point with certain games or applications. Obviously, there is no “one size fits all” solution. You also bring up a good business technique with the idea of having more thna one class of machines … again, the better way to differentiate your business from the next guy is not to try to capture his business by charging a peso less, it’s to make people come to you because they know they are getting more for their peso.
At the risk of boring the readers i have left
, I will say though that comparing ‘streaming apps over a LAN’compared with a properly designed thin client server is like comparing a hot dog with a warm puppy … they’re both made of meat but they have very little else in common.
Stop by any time.
i also want to make money online that is why i immediately joined the google adsense program and also read a lot about making money on websites and blogs. i am also trying to learn affiliate marketing.
Congratulations. However, if you want some free advice, don’t try to learn too many things at once … and don’t spend too much time reading and participating in groups/forums/chats. You’ll waste a lot of time getting conflicting opinions from people who mainly talk, but don’t _do_.
AdSense in particular is sort of a loaded gun … if you don’t know what you are doing with it,it can hurt a lot more than it will help. You need traffic from search engines to really make AdSense work … and you need those people reaching your site because you were talking about what people were willing to buy ads for … you can’t just stick up a blog and stick AdSense on it … you’ll be very disappointed.
The most basic rule of Internet Marketing is the one most often violated. Find something that people want to buy, then help them find it. About 90% of the advice in that area seems to be backwards, here’s a nice offer, now make people buy it … it won’t work, it’s like setting up a shop on EDSA to sell warm, woolly hats … they might be the best hats in the world, at a great price, but who wants to buy them in Manila?
