A Good Deal in Davao
Many of my readers here also know my friend Bob Martin in Davao City, Minanao, Philippines. Bob is running a seminar How To Make Money in the Philippines!.
For those who are there or who might feel like traveling, I am pretty sure it will be worth it. Bob speaks with authority, conviction and his knowledge is based on many years of earning a living for himself and his family, in the Philippines. Recommended. By the way, for those who are clicking on past this, because of the “I can’t do that” feeling … I’ve met Bob. He’s a smart man and he works hard … but he’s no superman, doesn’t have a degree in nuclear physics and wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth. There is nothing Bob has done that any person who believes in him/herself can’t equal … it’s a matter of thinking yes I can more than anything else. This applies equally to my Filipino readers.

“but he’s no superman, doesn’t have a degree in nuclear physics and wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth”
Yeah, but he did sleep at a Holiday Inn!!
Ok bad joke (maybe you need American TV to get it). Seriously though, I’m sure it will be well worth the time and money. I’d go if I was there.

…or you could buy the book by Mindanao Bob Martin detailing a similar theme: “49 Ways to Make a Living In The Philippines”

@Mindanao Bob: No Problem, Bob, I wouldn’t recommend it if I wasn’t sure people would get good value. I also thought it is a good object lesson in walking the walk … so many people I know have alot more on the ball thna I do, yet they can’t beleive in themselves enough to make a move to independence … it’s good whne you can see people who are actually doing it and succeeding.

@Randy C: Yes I think my American TV consumption, or lack of same, caused that one to soar right over my head, Randy. Probably the joke will reach here in a year or two, most US series that show here are a couple years behind. I pretty much watch only Discovery channel, baseball once a week or so and an occasional movie, so I miss a lot of jokes. The one thing I really miss from US TV is PBS … the Australian ABC broadcast some PBS series as well as some of similar theme and quality they do on their own and an occasional gem from the BBC, but if there was one channel I’d pay for to get full-time it would be PBS … you realize I haven’t seen Norm in two years now?

@marshallmellow: Glad that you are enjoying that book, Marsahall .. I always like to know when people like (or even if they don’t like) things I pitch.
