Philippine Living — The Prodigal Returns

I know some of you have noticed the conspicuous absence of my deputy assistant blogger, Gia.  Gia has been with us here in Marilao all this time and going to school regularly.  She just hasn’t had a lot of time or inclination for blogging.  This is her school, buy the way in case I haven’t pointed it out before:PWU Manila Campus

Gia is doing fine with school.  She’s a little disappointed I think that she isn’t on the Deans List after mid-terms, but she’s close and Mita and I are working with her.  She’s really a sweet person and a joy to be around, but of course she’s a bit shy of speaking with me often.  I think her submission for today may shed a little light on where her mind has been.  It’s not all that easy at 16 to leave home and live with strangers, commute every day to a busy, sometimes chaotic city, and come home every night to sleep alone in a room far from family.  (well Mita is her auntie, but then again, even though I’m her tito (uncle) by marriage, I don’t think they come much stranger than me ;-) ).  Hang in there, Gia, we’ll help you through.

My Inspirations

One thing that inspires me is my family. They are my strength when I’m down, my shield when I’m in harm’s way, my light and my guide. They’re my inspiration in anything I do.

We all know that our family is the only one who will always be there whatever challenges we face in life. They will teach you how to hold on and pray for you. They’re always there when you need someone to talk to and they’ll give you advice and explain right from wrong. They will listen whenever you have problems. They know what’s best for you and they want only what’s best for you. They’ll protect you from harm and never want you to be in danger.

I also include my friends as one of my inspirations. They are my clowns everyday. They know how to make me laugh even if I’m not in the mood. My friends give me sort of advice and I would like to thank them for accepting me for who I am and understand me, even my bad side.

These are the people who inspire me every day of my life. I’m so much thankful that God gave them as my family, and friends.

I treasure them a lot and I love them!
