As many of you have already there was another large earthquake/after shock in the sea off Miyagi prefecture, Japan last night, Philippine/Japanese time. This one was much smaller and no significant injuries/damage has been reported.
So the work these guys are doing will, I believe, go on unhindered.
Sendai airport was not fully open until 28 March following the tsunami on 11 March. The first C-17s, however, were going into Sendai on 20 March after the USAF’s 320th special tactics squadron and JSDF personnel cleared the runway.
This is what your USAF does. yeah, the one that 98% of the American public no longer is a part of … especially those Americans in leadership roles.
And here’s one of the guys who works to make rescue efforts like this happen, who by the way, won’t get paid if you allow this idiotic government shutdown nonsense to happen.
And one of the reasons we still spend money on the world’s most capable air force, even though it would be more convenient to spend the money on paying BP executives whopping bonuses for polluting the gulf od Mexico.

I really don’t write many posts like this and I probably won’t write many more … but while most Americans I meet seem to be hung up on this stupid, wheel-spinning ‘Red’/’Blue’ debate, it seems to me the country is running hard to display an abject ignorance and lack of care for the citizens on both sides of the aisle as well as down the middle.
And Americans like to rant about the faults and foibles of the Philippine government? Look in the mirror folks. Look in the mirror.
