@Neal in RI: Neal, and anyone else who has had a problem with my "Contact" page. Please take a second and try to send me a message. I was giving Neal a problem yesterday and the day before but I can't find any issue with it ... the only way I will know if it is fixed or still broken is with third-party testing. Your continued readership and help is appreciated.

@Neal in RI: There is a real underlying feeling on the part of Westerners that all the girls in the Philippines ... or Thailand or Chiane or wherever work in bars. In fact this leads to one of my less popular, but 100% correct ieces of advice I give guys who say, "But where can I meet girls aside from bars"? My first suggestion always is, shift change at the supermarket in the closest SM mall. The employees there are single, educated, background-checked and have opted to work regular jobs rather than the flesh trade.

Even though it is still a big problem, I would have to say that the Philippines has made many strides in the right direction towrds making this unsavory business less prominet and more subdued. But truth be told there are still way, way too many foreign men who just see the Philippines as a 'sin stop' on the road through life. Not much can be done except to report on things honestly and live by example.

I do always get a bit of amazement though at the double standard of my own country. I lived for years on the border of the city limits of Colorado Springs and the surrounding built up area. It's easy to tell where the border is even without a map ... there is always a little enclave of "massage parlors" in the strip malls along the roads. People _think_ there is no substantial sex trade in the US, but self-delusion is indeed a popular US pastime ... it all happens in _those_ countries, not in _our_ country. Oh well.

Here Here You got that one spot on. The majority of US Military people that spent time in RP only spent time around the scummy ass areas and never ventured out of that area, so that is all they know. This causes a problem for us married to a filipina. It seems that in many circles that as soon as others know you are married to a filipina they assume that you met her in some scummy ass bar. My wife hates this and I have got into alot of trouble defending her dignity.(fights)
