Philippine Health Care
The WHO (World Health Organization) is part of the United Nations and among other activities rates the quality of medical care in various countries. I’ve reproduced the current “top 100″ here:
Note that the US ranks a dismal 37th. Yes, it ranks higher than the Philippines (number 60), but if health care is such an overwhelming concern as it seems to be to so many potential Philippine retirees, then why not move to France? Or Japan? or even Canada, right across the border? The US only leads in one area of health care … it’s the most expensive in the world.
